Azerbaijan’s Embassy in the Kingdom of Morocco successfully thwarted an attempted Armenian provocation against Azerbaijan in the country.
The incident involved the planned screening of a short film titled “All I Need,” directed by Armenian-origin filmmaker Katia Spivakova Saakiants, at the Issni N’ourgh International Film Festival in Agadir, Morocco, which runs from September 11-15.
The provocative film contained misleading content about the so-called Armenian genocide and falsely depicted Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region, previously under Armenian occupation, as part of Armenia, referring to it by the name “Artsakh.”
Thanks to swift action by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Morocco, the screening of the film was cancelled.
