The 2nd Meteorological Forum of the Turkic World has kicked off in Baku.
The Forum, held as part of a series of events marking the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, is organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The event brings together ministers of environment and climate change of the Turkic states, heads of hydrometeorological services, as well as representatives of public agencies and experts.
The forum aims to carry out coordinated activities in the field of climate change, and expand the exchange of experience on the establishment of an early warning system for extreme weather conditions.
The First Meteorological Forum of the Turkic World was held on February 19, 2021 in the Turkish city of Ankara.
