Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with the ministers of agriculture who participated in the 2nd Turkic Agro Business Forum and 2nd Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Agriculture of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Baku.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the 2nd Turkic Agro Business Forum and 2nd Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Agriculture of the OTS held in Baku, and expressed his confidence that these events would boost cooperation in the agriculture sector among the Turkic states.
According to him, one of the top priorities of Azerbaijan's foreign policy is to further improve relations with the countries in the Turkic world.
The Prime Minister of Azerbaijan outlined the steps that had been taken to boost the country's non-oil economy. He emphasized that the country’s economy has become more diverse as a result of the effective economic policy. He also said that ideal conditions had been created for the development of the agricultural industry like in all other fields.
Discussions revolved around Azerbaijan’s application of green energy, digitalization and innovative solutions to ensure sustainable transformation of agro-food system in the country.
The delegations were informed about the development potential of agriculture in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the sides addressed projects implemented in the field of agriculture between Azerbaijan and the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States.
