Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister holds several meetings in Türkiye

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, along with Slovenia’s Minister of Environment, Climate and Energy Bojan Kumer on the margins of the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.

At the meeting with Alparslan Bayraktar, the sides touched upon the role of the Azerbaijan- Türkiye energy partnership in ensuring global energy security and sustainable energy supply.

They assessed the current situation in the field of gas supply.

The ministers also reviewed the development of the "Azerbaijan- Türkiye -Europe" and "Azerbaijan-Georgia- Türkiye -Bulgaria" green energy interconnector projects and agreed to boost the process.

The officials discussed the possibility of holding the next meeting of the "Azerbaijan- Türkiye Energy Forum" in Azerbaijan within the year.

Subsequently, Parviz Shahbazov met with Slovenian Minister Bojan Kumer.

The parties hailed the development of bilateral energy relations.

They also exchanged views on the possibilities of continuing gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Slovenia, prospects for cooperation in potential areas, and strengthening mutual consultations.

Minister Parviz Shahbazov invited Slovenian Minister Bojan Kumer to participate in the events scheduled to be held within the "Baku Energy Week" with a large delegation.
