Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Si Xinbo, Executive Vice President of the Silk Road Fund and a member of its Investment Committee.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized that Azerbaijan–China relations have reached the level of a strategic partnership, with economic cooperation steadily expanding.

The minister highlighted ongoing reforms aimed at economic diversification and the country’s favorable investment climate. The importance of expanding cooperation in the non-oil and gas sector, technology transfer, and sustainable development, with a particular focus on innovation, was underscored.

The parties discussed initiatives to strengthen economic partnership, including the creation of a joint investment fund between the Azerbaijan Investment Holding and the Silk Road Fund. They also reviewed prospects for implementing investment projects in industry, energy, finance, and other priority areas, as well as expanding financing mechanisms.
