Azerbaijan, Israel explore prospects for agricultural cooperation

Majnun Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, met with Israel’s Ambassador to the country Ronen Krausz.

Minister Majnun Mammadov provided participants with detailed information on the state support mechanisms for the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan. He noted that the agrarian reforms implemented in the country envisage the further development of agriculture, adding that the government carries out measures to support these efforts.

Minister Majnun Mammadov recalled that during his visit to Israel in January of this year, he met with Avi Dichter, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, and familiarized with the activities of leading centers in the field of aquaculture and innovations, modern livestock enterprises and dairy processing plants. He also hailed the fruitful collaboration between the two countries in the agricultural sector.

Ambassador Ronen Krausz underlined that cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically across all areas.

The meeting focused on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in the agricultural sector, increasing trade turnover in the agricultural sector, and expanding the activities of the working group.
