Azerbaijan, Israel to enhance roadmap for agricultural cooperation

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, is on a visit to Israel.

As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation is set to visit leading agricultural research and development centers in Israel, as well as to participate in the "Second Global Summit on Blue Food Security: Sea the Future.”

On the first day of the visit, the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development hosted a meeting between agriculture ministers Majnun Mammadov of Azerbaijan and Avi Dichter of Israel, where the parties explored opportunities for cooperation in the agricultural sector.

During the meeting, the ministers emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Israel are developing dynamically in all areas, with both sides expressing interest in enhancing cooperation, particularly in the agricultural sector.

Both sides emphasized the importance of such agreements as the Declaration of Intent and Roadmap for enhancing agricultural cooperation signed two years ago in Baku in elevating the agricultural cooperation between the two countries to a new level.

Minister Majnun Mammadov also toured the Israel's leading agricultural research institution, Volcani Institute Agricultural Research Organization, where the minister was briefed on the activities of the Center, and its main directions of scientific research conducted in agriculture. The sides extensively explored the possibilities of cooperation in agriculture between the scientific research institutes and research centers of Azerbaijan and Israel.
