A delegation from the Baku City Executive Authority participated in events marking the 958th anniversary of Belarusian capital Minsk.
During the visit, Deputy Head of the Baku City Executive Authority Ayaz Huseynov met with his Belarusian counterpart Oleg Korzun. The sides discussed areas of mutual interest for cooperation, including urban management, environmental safety, and waste management.
Oleg Korzun praised the development of Baku, highlighting the city’s landscaping and cleanliness. He specifically emphasized the success of projects related to the collection, transportation, and sorting of solid household waste, expressing interest in learning from Baku’s experience.
Ayaz Huseynov underlined that the strengthening of relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus reflects the political will of both countries’ leaders. He noted that Baku continues to develop rapidly, with large-scale construction and redevelopment projects underway.
Huseynov also highlighted that, in line with President Ilham Aliyev’s directive, the project for sorting solid household waste in Baku is being successfully implemented, and expressed readiness to share Baku’s experience in this field.
