On November 1, Prime Minister Ali Asadov chaired a meeting of Azerbaijan’s Economic Council.
The agenda covered several key topics, including agricultural insurance systems, the activities of the Agrarian Insurance Fund, agricultural insurance and risk management among farmers, insurance legislation, regulation and control, and the improvement of the conceptual framework (model) of the agrarian insurance scheme. The second issue on the agenda related to the role of the Karabakh Revival Fund in the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories, the efficient use of funds to accelerate the development and sustainability of the Fund, investment management, and increasing investment income. The third issue focused on the current situation regarding the development of the labor market, key reforms in labor and employment, digitization and challenges, demographic trends in the labor market, the elimination of informal employment, and other current issues.
The meeting was addressed by Taleh Kazimov, Chairman of the Central Bank; Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population; and Samad Bashirli, Deputy Minister of Economy. The meeting also included a report by Majnun Mammadov, Minister of Agriculture.
In conclusion, the participants made decisions on the discussed topics and issued instructions to the relevant bodies.
