Applications are now open for the “EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™” competition. Entrepreneurs are invited to submit their applications between September 26 and December 30, 2024. The application form can be accessed at www.eoy.az.
The principal sponsor of the program in Azerbaijan is ABB, with sponsorship support by other sponsors.
Eligibility criteria:
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ is open to businesses based in Azerbaijan;
Applicants must own at least a 20% interest in their companies;
Applicants must be primarily responsible for the recent performance of their companies;
Turnover in a range of AZN 300,000 to AZN 30 million for at least one fiscal year (applicable for a period of two preceding years);
The applicant’s company must be in operation for at least two years by January 2025;
Applicant’s taxes must be traceable for a period of two preceding years;
Applicants can produce financial reporting for a period of two preceding years.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their success in creating long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to their purpose and the demonstration of growth and substantial impact, among other key indicators.
The judging panel will select finalists and winners in various categories, including the national winner, who will have the chance to represent Azerbaijan at “EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year®”. The national winner will be announced during a gala ceremony in early 2025, with the international finals taking place in June 2025 in Monaco.

With a legacy of nearly 40 years, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ is a unique global program that recognizes entrepreneurial achievement among individuals and companies that demonstrate vision, leadership and success, and work to improve the quality of life in their communities, countries and around the world.
Each annual program in every participating country concludes with the announcement of category winners and an overall winner.
This competition, now in its sixth consecutive year in Azerbaijan, aims to promote entrepreneurship, recognize achievements of Azerbaijani businessmen and highlight exemplary role models. Each year, the program sees a notable rise in the number of its participants. Over the last five years, 60 entrepreneurs have participated, each gaining a unique opportunity to broaden their business network, discover new development ideas, and join influential entrepreneurial community.
