Azerbaijan ensures the development of transport, energy and many other projects in the South Caucasus region, said Sherzod Fayziev, Deputy Director of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS), Report informs.
Fayziev made the remark at the event "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New Perspectives for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" in Baku.
He stated that Azerbaijan is a leading country in the South Caucasus and emphasized that the friendship between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan is undoubtedly positive for both the Central Asian region and the Caucasus.
The event "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New Perspectives for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" was jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
