Azerbaijan is making significant efforts to establish itself as a crucial transportation hub in the South Caucasus region, Sanjar Valiyev, head of the Information-Analytical Center for International Relations of Uzbekistan said during the event "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New Perspectives for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" held in Baku, according to Report.
"Currently, the two largest countries in the Central Asian and Caucasus regions, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, are combining their potentials and setting ambitious goals. To address trade and economic challenges, our ministries are implementing the most effective measures. An innovative step in this regard is the designation of 2025 as the 'Year of Economic Cooperation between Baku and Tashkent,'" Valiyev said.
He emphasized that the world is currently experiencing numerous complex processes, and the existing level of cooperation between countries is insufficient to resolve them. "Therefore, cooperation is crucial. Our states advocate for the quickest possible resolution of issues through diplomatic means," he added.
The event "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New Perspectives for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" was jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan.
