Azerbaijan’s economy grew by 4.5% in January-July 2024

In the first seven months of 2024, Azerbaijan’s economy saw a growth of more than 4.5 percent in gross domestic product (GDP) compared to the same period last year, reaching 70 billion 544 million manats.

According to the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee, the added value in the oil and gas sector increased by 1.2 percent, while the non-oil and gas sector experienced a 6.7 percent increase.

Various sectors contributed to the GDP: industry accounted for 38.4 percent, trade and vehicle repair for 9.6 percent, transport and warehousing for 7.0 percent, agriculture, forestry, and fishing for 6.0 percent, construction for 5.7 percent, tourist accommodation and public catering for 2.4 percent, information and communication for 1.8 percent, and other sectors for 19.1 percent. Net taxes on products and imports constituted 10 percent of the GDP.

The GDP per capita stood at 6,921.4 manats.

Economy
