Georgia's trade turnover with Azerbaijan down by 16%

In January-February of this year, the value of the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia decreased by 16% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $207.17 million, Report informs, citing the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

 

This made up 7% of the monthly trade turnover of the neighboring country.

 

During the reporting period, the value of products exported by Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased by 10.6% to $99.46 million (12.4% of total exports), and the value of products imported by Georgia from Azerbaijan declined by 20.5% to $107.71 million (5% of total imports).

 

In January, the value of Georgia's total trade turnover decreased by 4.8% year-on-year to $2,950,147,000. In particular, the value of exports decreased by 12.2% to $803.314 million and imports by 1.6% to $2,146,833,000.
