S.Korea interested in imports from Azerbaijan

South Korea is interested in importing iron and aluminum, as well as metal products from Azerbaijan, said Kim Byung-kwan, Chairman of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), Report informs.

He made the remark at an event organized as part of the buyer's mission to Azerbaijan.

Kim Byung Kwan highlighted South Korea’s position as a major importer and the potential for Azerbaijani products to penetrate the South Korean market, given Azerbaijan’s abundant natural resources. Additionally, South Korea is keen on importing Azerbaijani meat, dairy products, and beverages, and is looking to foster cooperation with Azerbaijani companies. This includes organizing visits to promote Azerbaijani goods in South Korea.

He also noted the adverse effects of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the global food supply chain. Despite these challenges, he emphasized the importance of maintaining stable economic growth in South Korea.

"South Korea will host an exhibition this summer," he said, adding that by participating in this exhibition, the Azerbaijani companies can enter the local market.
