Azerbaijan to increase value of non-oil exports to $5B by 2026

In 2026, the value of Azerbaijan's non-oil exports is aimed at reaching $5 billion, Deputy Executive Director of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), Tural Hajili, said at the event themed "Consultations with interested parties regarding non-tariff barriers during trade and the rules of trade in services" organized by the International Trade Center together with the AZPROMO, Report informs.

 

"The prepared National Export Strategy aims to export current products to new markets in the short and medium term, and to export new products to new markets in the long term. Compared to 2021, it is planned to increase Azerbaijan's non-oil exports by 85% in 2026, that is, to reach about $5 billion," he said.

 

Vladanka Andreeva, the resident coordinator of the UN, who participated in the event, said that Azerbaijan has the potential to increase the value of non-oil exports by more than $1 billion annually in the next 5 years: "Azerbaijan has unused export potential. In the last few years, the country's non-oil exports have continuously increased."
