Tajik Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry invites Azerbaijani companies to attend exhibitions held in his country

Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev has met with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan Jamshed Dzhumakhonzoda.

The AZPROMO head provided insight into the agency’s activities and the progress achieved in attracting non-oil investments to the country's economy.

The sides shared their views on the importance of “SPECA Countries Exhibition: Regional Cooperation for Sustainable Development” held on Azerbaijan’s initiative as part of SPECA Week.

They also exchanged views on the prospects of increasing bilateral economic cooperation, including trade exchanges and in this direction, highly appreciated the activities of the newly appointed extraordinary and competent Ambassador of Tajikistan, who visited AZPROMO in September.

Stating that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the largest organization in Tajikistan, Chairman Jamshed Dzhumakhonzoda briefed and spoke about the expected changes to the law regulating the activities of the Chamber.

The Chamber Chairman also noted the perfect organization of the SPECA Exhibition, in which Tajikistan was represented by the country's stand and pointed out that this initiative served as an important platform for expanding partnerships between countries.

The meeting also focused on the activities of existing joint ventures, especially the composite pipe production plant, which opened in 2021 in Dushanbe.

Following the event, Chairman Jamshed Dzhumakhonzoda invited Azerbaijani companies to attend the exhibitions to be held in Tajikistan.
