Elchin Mammadov, Deputy Secretary General of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), met with Helen Croft, UEFA Grassroots Football Mentor.

The heads and staff of AFFA’s relevant structural divisions also attended the meeting.

The sides exchanged views on the current state of grassroots football in Azerbaijan, ongoing projects, and future development prospects.

Elchin Mammadov briefed Helen Croft on efforts to promote grassroots football and the programs implemented in schools, clubs, and regions.

Helen Croft praised Azerbaijan’s steps towards developing grassroots football and shared UEFA’s experience and recommendations in this area. She also emphasized the importance of strengthening international cooperation, increasing the involvement of children and adolescents in football, and promoting inclusive football projects.

The meeting also focused on opportunities for joint activities to further mutual cooperation and ensure the sustainable development of grassroots football.
