Young Azerbaijani racer Davin Jafarov claimed the first place at the prestigious "Easykart Portugal Trophy" international karting tournament held in Palmela, Portugal.
Prevailing over his opponents Jafarov emerged victorious in the TaG Livre 125 category with 140 points, earning the top podium spot. The event took place on the 1,270-meter-long, 10-meter-wide Kartodromo Internacional de Palmela track.
The tournament featured strong field of competitors from France, UK, Spain, Portugal, Angola and South Africa.
With this achievement, the 15-year-old racer Davin is set to prove his prowess in the X30 category at the World Grand Final in Italy this October, representing Portugal at the continental championship as part of the BirelAreti team.
Davin Jafarov, the winner of multiple international karting tournaments, has already received an invitation to join Formula 4 in Germany.
