Türkiye will face Wales in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday in what promises to be a crucial match for both national teams, according to Anadolu Agency.

One of the key matches in the fifth round of the Nations League will take place at RHG Enerturk Enerji stadium in the country's central province of Kayseri, where Türkiye will host Wales at 1700GMT.

Spanish referee Juan Martinez Munuera has been appointed to officiate this highly anticipated League B clash.

Having earned 10 points, Türkiye are on top of Group B4, two points ahead of second-place Wales.

Iceland are third with four points while Montenegro are at the bottom of the table without a single point.

Under Craig Bellamy's management, Wales remains unbeaten with two wins and two draws. Meanwhile, Vincenzo Montella's Türkiye secured three victories but suffered one defeat in their four matches.

Türkiye are dismayed by the injury of right-back Ferdi Kadioglu, who has been left out of the squad.

The 25-year-old sustained a capsule tear in his left big toe, ruling him out of the upcoming Wales and Montenegro games.

But Freiburg winger Eren Dinkci and Kasimpasa defender Yasin Ozcan are both on the squad.

In their 101-year history, the Turkish national team has racked up 248 wins (including one by default), 149 draws, and 238 losses. Across 635 matches, they scored 869 goals and conceded 908 goals.
