Another group of athletes representing Azerbaijan at the Summer Paralympic Games in Paris have returned to their homeland, Report informs.
The plane with the Paralympians on board landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 05:16 (GMT+4).
Paralympic champions Said Najafzade, Lamiya Valiyeva, Orkhan Aslanov, as well as silver and bronze medalists Raman Salei, Ilham Zakiyev and Vali Israfilov were met by officials, journalists and members of the public.
At the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games, in which athletes from 169 countries took part, the Azerbaijani team took 28th place. The Azerbaijani team, represented by 18 athletes at the Paralympics, won four gold, two silver and five bronze medals.
