Ten chess players will compete in the “Vugar Hashimov Memorial 2023” super tournament, director of the competition Anar Allahverdiyev said at a press conference.
The tournament will see participation of Azerbaijan`s Teymur Rajabov, Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Nijat Abasov, Rauf Mammadov and Aydin Suleymanli, as well as Indian Vidit Santosh, Romanian Richard Rapport, Polish Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Dutch Jorden van Foreest and Israeli Boris Gelfand.
Organized by Vugar Hashimov Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Azerbaijan Chess Federation, the Vugar Hashimov Memorial 2023 will be held in Gabala on December 7-11.
