Flame of Peace for EYOF Bakuriani 2025 arrives in Tbilisi

The Flame of Peace for the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) Bakuriani 2025 was brought to Tbilisi on Sunday, according to 1tv.ge.

The Flame of Peace was handed over to Olympic champion Lasha Bekauri.

The Flame of Peace has been lit by Georgian athletes Anastasia Mirianashvili, Nikoloz Egadze, and Bakuriani 2025 Organising Committee President Mamuka Khabareli at a ceremony in Rome, Italy.

Bakuriani 2025 is the 17th edition of the Winter EYOF and will be held between 9 and 16 February.

This will be Georgia’s inaugural Winter Olympic Festival, making it the sixth country in Europe to host both the Summer and Winter European Youth Olympic Festivals.

During the event, around 2000 visitors and 1,000 participants will visit Georgia to compete in eight different winter sports.

According to the event organisers, the Bakuriani 2025 hosts will have a significant impact on the country’s winter tourism and sports growth.
