The conference of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) themed “Cooperation among News Agencies on Fighting Disinformation” has kicked off here today.
Chairman of Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) is attending the conference.
Addressing the conference, Director of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkiye Fahrettin Altun, Director-General of Anadolu News Agency Serdar Karagoz, OANA President, Managing Director of IRNA News Agency Ali Naderi noted that this year’s conference is mainly focused on disinformation and the strategy to tackle it.
Anadolu Agency Director-General Serdar Karagoz highlighted the history and activity of the Agency.
The event also featured panel sessions.
AZERTAC Board Chairman Vugar Aliyev is also expected to address the panel session on “Areas of cooperation for the news agencies in the fight against disinformation”.
