Fathudin Ali Mohamed, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) of SOCAR.
The visit focused on exploring potential avenues for bilateral academic cooperation in education between BHOS and Somalia. Discussions included the possibility of enrolling Somali students at BHOS for the 2025/2026 academic year and highlighted the Heydar Aliyev grant for international students as a significant opportunity for expanding educational partnerships.
During the meeting, it was agreed to inform the relevant authorities in both countries about the outcomes of the visit and to develop a mutually beneficial educational partnership. Ambassador Fathudin Ali Mohamed emphasized the importance of completing the student selection process by April 2025.
The visit concluded with a campus tour showcasing BHOS facilities.
