This summer 65,8 million people will holiday in Italy, spending a total of 267.4 million overnight stays here, according to a study by the Demoskopika institute that ANSA has had a sneak preview of.
It said this is a 3.4% increase in the number of tourist and a 2.1% rise in overnight stays with respect to the summer of 2024.
So Italy is set to host 2.2 million tourists more between June and September and 5.4 million more overnight stays.
