Pakistan’s Institute of Regional Studies has arranged a Pre-COP 29 panel discussion in Islamabad on Thursday titled “Bridging the Gap: Humanitarian Agencies & Climate Adaptation in Pakistan”.
Former Pakistani Federal Minister for Climate Change, Senator Sherry Rehman will attend the function as Chief Guest; President of the Institute of Regional Studies Islamabad, Ambassador Jauhar Saleem, Chief Executive officer of the Pakistan’s National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) and Country head of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are they key speakers who will spoke on the occasion.
Representatives of Climate Change bodies, diplomats and well known journalists are likely to attend the panel discussion on the important issue. The United Nations Climate Change Conference COP29 is being held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan from 11 to 22 November. Prior to this important pre-COP conference and discussions are underway in different countries across the globe.
