Moscow hosts OANA Executive Board's 53rd meeting

Moscow, September 15, AZERTAC

The 53rd meeting of the Executive Board of the Organization of Asia Pacific News Agencies (OANA) was held in Moscow, Russia.

Vugar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC, attended the meeting.

The meeting participants agreed that the 19th OANA General Assembly will be hosted in early summer next year in Moscow by TASS news agency, that will chair the organization for the next four years.

 

The next meeting of the OANA Executive Board will be held in Malaysia in February 2025 with the organizational support of the country's BERNAMA News Agency.

OANA members also participated in the panel sessions on the themes "Ethical standards in the activities of editorial offices" and "Ethical aspects of the application of artificial intelligence in the media industry".

Founded in 1961, OANA currently includes more than 40 news agencies from 35 countries. AZERTAC has been a member of OANA since 2004.
