Egyptian officials are holding a series of talks with Yemen’s Houthi rebels and Iran over the security situation in the region, Report informs referring to Interfax.
Cairo representatives are discussing “restoring a calm situation in international waters” in the Red Sea. The parties have already held several “intensive meetings” in recent days. Where exactly these meetings took place is not specified.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian may visit Cairo in the near future.
