UN rep: 10 million people forced to flee their homes since Ukraine war started

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, 9,900 civilians have died and 10 million people have fled their homes, Head and Representative of OCHA (United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) in Geneva Ramesh Rajasingham said at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, XQ informs.

Rajasingham said the actual numbers may be higher, but the situation is worsening and the environment is becoming much more dangerous for humanitarian aid organizations as the war continues.

He said 14 aid workers have been killed since the war began.

In addition, there were 1,300 attacks on health facilities, killing 111 health workers and patients.
