Rector of Iğdır University of Türkiye, Ekrem Gürel, visited Baku State University (BSU).

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized the wide opportunities for cooperation between the two universities. He noted that this partnership is important for the scientific development of both Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as for training internationally competitive specialists.

Ekrem Gürel stated that Iğdır University, which mainly specializes in agricultural education, prioritizes cooperation with Azerbaijan in science and education. He also noted that Iğdır serves as a gateway to the Turkic world and expressed the hope that more Azerbaijani students would study at Iğdır University.

The meeting included discussions on cooperation in education, science, and research, as well as student and faculty exchanges, joint projects, participation in international programs, and the organization of scientific events.

At the end of the meeting, BSU and Iğdır University signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
