Baku State University, Social Sciences University of Ankara ink Memorandum of Understanding

A delegation led by Rector of the Social Sciences University of Ankara Musa Kazim Arican has visited the Baku State University (BSU).

Addressing the meeting, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev informed the guests about the teaching and scientific activities of the university and international relations. He noted that the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology of BSU is considered the main basis for training of personnel in this field in the country, adding that most of the Turkish students of BSU tend to major in psychology. Babayev expressed his confidence that the cooperation in the field of social sciences would be beneficial for the development of both universities.

Rector Musa Kazim Arican said that the Social Sciences University of Ankara is Türkiye’s first state university for social sciences. He also noted the university’s interest in cooperation with Turkic countries, including Azerbaijan's universities.

Then, BSU and Ankara Social Sciences University of Türkiye signed a Memorandum of Understanding and "Erasmus+K171" exchange agreement.

The document was inked by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Ankara Social Sciences University Rector Musa Kazim Arican.

The MoU aims to develop cooperation between both universities in the field of education and research. Under the document, the sides will maintain cooperation in the field of research, education and teaching programs of mutual interest. The memorandum also envisages mutual exchange of students, academic and administrative staff, organization of joint seminars, educational programs, implementation of joint research and development projects, exchange of publications and other relevant materials.

Education
