Czech Ambassador to Azerbaijan Milan Sedlacek has visited the Museum of Mountain Jews in Krasnaya Sloboda settlement of Azerbaijan's Guba district, Director of the museum Igor Shaulov wrote on LinkedIn, Report informs.

"The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan, H.E. Milan Sedláček, visited the Museum of Mountain Jews. During the visit, I provided the esteemed diplomat with detailed information about the history and activities of the museum, the lifestyle of the local community, and introduced him to the rare exhibits preserved at the museum," the director wrote.

The Museum of Mountain Jews was opened in 2020. This museum, created in the building of the Karchagi Synagogue, contains national costumes, jewelry, ritual utensils, manuscripts, books, antiques of the 19th century, the heritage and traditions of the mountain community, brought from different parts of the Caucasus.
