On January 13, 2025, another group of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) embarked on their journey to the newly rebuilt city of Jabrayil. These families, who had been temporarily housed in dormitories, sanatoriums, children's camps, unfinished buildings, and administrative buildings across various regions of the republic, set out from the Garadagh district of Baku to return to their homeland.

According to Report, in this phase, 39 families, comprising 165 individuals, made their way to the city. The brilliant victory of the Azerbaijani army in the Patriotic War, led by President Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has paved the way for former IDPs to voluntarily, safely, and with dignity, return to their native lands after 30 long years.

The residents of Jabrayil expressed their gratitude to the head of state and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care they have received. They also thanked the brave Azerbaijani army for liberating their lands from occupation and wished for the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this noble cause to rest in peace.

It is worth noting that currently, around 30,000 people, including former IDPs, reside in Karabakh and East Zangazur. This number also includes those working on projects in these regions, employees of local branches of various state institutions, and staff of reopened healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy facilities.
