The Brazilian Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) has completed the decoding of the black boxes from the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) aircraft that crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan.
Citing the Brazilian portal G1, AZERTAC reports that according to the sources involved in the investigation, the process of extracting, collecting, and verifying data from both black boxes has been finalized.
As reported by the “O Globo” newspaper, the Center has already forwarded the investigation results to the relevant authorities in Kazakhstan.
The Azerbaijan Airlines plane, en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed near Aktau in the Mangistau region on December 25. The aircraft carried 67 people, including five crew members. 38 people lost their lives, while 29 survived.
