The Azerbaijan Sports Journalists Association has named the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) the best news agency of 2024 during its annual awards ceremony, recognizing media outlets for their coverage of sporting events throughout the year.
The Association also announced winners in categories such as "Male Athlete of the Year," "Female Athlete of the Year," "Coach of the Year," and other nominations.
The year 2024 has been a record-breaking year for Azerbaijani sports, with Azerbaijani athletes securing a total of 1,718 medals across 266 international competitions, including 666 gold, 465 silver, and 587 bronze medals.
