Farewell ceremony for deceased crew members of crashed AZAL plane underway at Baku Airport

A farewell ceremony for the crew members of the Embraer passenger aircraft that crashed in Kazakhstan on December 25 is being held at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

According to Report, family members, officials, and public representatives are participating in the farewell ceremony.

Three crew members - aircraft commander Igor Kshnyakin, pilot Alexander Kalyaninov, and flight attendant Hokuma Alieva will be buried today at the Second Alley of Honor. On December 25, an Embraer aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the Kazakhstani city of Aktau. There were 67 people on board, 38 of whom died, and 29 survived.
