In accordance with an Order issued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, December 26, 2024, was declared a day of mourning across the Republic to commemorate the victims of the crash of the Embraer 190 passenger aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines. The aircraft was en route on the Baku-Grozny (Russian Federation) flight.
A commemoration ceremony was held by the Azerbaijan Army in observance of this occasion. The memory of the passengers and crew members who tragically lost their lives in the crash was honored at 12:00.
