Under the joint plan signed by the Defense Ministries of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, the “Altyn Kyran – 2024” (Golden Eagle – 2024) joint tactical-special exercise conducted at the Koktal training ground in Zharkent, Kazakhstan, continues, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

According to the scenario, commanders of the combat units performed reconnaissance tasks after reporting their decisions to the exercise command headquarters.

During the exercise, units traveled a 25-kilometer route to identify and raid shelters used by illegal armed formations hiding in the mountainous area. Tasks included ambushing vehicle convoys belonging to illegal armed groups, destroying their manpower, and other objectives.

The “Altyn Kyran – 2024” exercise focuses on enhancing the interoperability of Azerbaijani and Kazakh servicemen, improving the practical skills of reconnaissance units, advancing camouflage techniques in mountainous and desert environments, and facilitating the exchange of mutual experience.
