Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Office meets with Kazakh Minister of Culture and Information

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has met with Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade highlighted the historical friendly relations between the Azerbaijani and Kazakh peoples, and hailed the development of ties between the two countries in all areas, including in the field of culture.

The two stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation to implement joint projects, and praised the efforts to develop bonds between two fraternal peoples and states in all areas within the Organization of Turkic States, including preserving the common religious and cultural values, Turkic-Islamic heritage, historical and national traditions.

Kazakhstani Minister Aida Balayeva lauded the high level of relations between the two countries and noted the existence of great opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation.

Emphasizing that the reciprocal visits of the heads of state gave a great impetus to the development of ties between the two brotherly countries, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade mentioned his regular participation in the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, saying that the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards is scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan in 2024.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
