Azerbaijan Travel Agencies Association, Malaysian tourism companies to boost cooperation

Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Travel Agencies Association (ATAA) Goydaniz Gahramanov has met with Charge d'Affaires a.i. of Malaysian Embassy to Azerbaijan Mardiana Mohamed Rohani and Air Arabia's representative in Baku Zohrab Aliyev to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism.

 

Highlighting the activity of the association, its role in the development of the Azerbaijan’s tourism industry, Goydaniz Gahramanov emphasized that as a tourist destination of choice, Malaysia, which has a special place in world tourism with its rich nature and colorful architectural sites, has become popular in Azerbaijan in recent years.

 

He stressed the need to prepare effective tourism projects for both travel firms and tourists in both countries.

 

Noting that Azerbaijan has tremendous tourism potential and ancient traditions of hospitality, Mardiana Mohamed Rohani said Malaysia attaches great importance to the expansion of tourism relations between the two countries. She expressed Malaysia’s readiness to share its tourism experience with Azerbaijan.

 

The meeting also focused on establishing joint cooperation, mutual promotion of tourist destinations and products, organizing promotional information tours, increasing the number of flights by Air Arabia and other airlines, as well as holding B2B meetings with member companies.
