Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Batumi, Fuad Azizov, met with Tsotne Ananidze, the newly elected Chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara.
The meeting was attended by Consul General Fuad Azizov, Vice-Consul Mahbuba Namazova, as well as Deputy Chairman Ramaz Jintcharadze and member of the Supreme Council Fati Khalvashi from the Adjara side.
Discussions focused on prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia, including at the regional level. It was noted that relations between the two countries have reached a high level thanks to the joint efforts of the heads of state and government of both countries.
Azerbaijan’s Consul General Fuad Azizov congratulated Tsotne Ananidze on his election as Chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara. He underlined the importance of strengthening interregional cooperation in economic, humanitarian, cultural, and parliamentary fields, and emphasized the need for closer ties between the regions.
Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue efforts to enhance cooperation.
