The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan held another round of consular consultations in Baku on April 2.
The consultations were led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Bahodur Safarzoda, Head of the Main Consular Department of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ilkhom Abdurakhmon, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, as well as officials from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Agency for Sustainable and Operative Social Provision (DOST), joined the consultations.
The consultations focused on the current state and prospects of consular cooperation between the two countries. The officials also reviewed collaboration in justice, education, labor, social protection, and other key areas.
On the margins of the consultations, the Tajik delegation also held a meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev.
