Additional MESOB One-Stop State Service centers based on Azerbaijan’s ASAN Khidmet model were opened in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Mahammadali Khudaverdiyev, Head of the International Relations Department of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, attended the opening ceremony in Adama.

The ceremony also brought together Mekuria Hayle, Commissioner of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Awelu Abdi, Vice President of the Oromia Regional State, and other officials.

More than 130 services are provided to the population at these centers by public institutions and private organizations. The infrastructure includes service desks, information points, waiting rooms, self-service stations, and a children’s corner.

Currently, 36 service centers operate in Ethiopia based on the ASAN Khidmet experience, with plans to open more than 200 centers by the end of the year.

A Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of the ASAN Khidmet model in Ethiopia was signed between the State Agency and the relevant Ethiopian institution in May 2024.
