On March 16, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Chingiz Asgarov met with President of the East African Court of Justice Nestor Kayobera, who is in Baku to attend the 13th Global Baku Forum.

Chingiz Asgarov emphasized the importance of legal cooperation between Azerbaijan and the East African region. He provided an overview of judicial reforms in Azerbaijan, including modernization of the judicial-legal system, use of innovative technologies in court activities, and the implementation of international standards in the judge selection process.

Both sides underlined the significance of expanding mutual cooperation in the judicial field and promoting the exchange of experience and information.

Nestor Kayobera thanked the Azerbaijani side for the warm reception and praised the judicial reforms implemented in the country. The delegation and Azerbaijani officials agreed that continued institutional cooperation and experience sharing between the courts would be mutually beneficial.
