On March 2, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
During the call, the sides discussed the rising military tensions in the region and their impact on security. The parties expressed deep concern over the situation in the region caused by the conflict, highlighting the importance of resolving the conflict through diplomatic means.
Kaja Kallas commended Azerbaijan’s significant role in the evacuation of foreign nationals, including EU citizens, from Iran.
The conversation also included discussions on other issues of mutual interest.
