Azerbaijan’s and Omani foreign ministers exchange views on growing regional tensions
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.
During the call, the ministers exchanged views on the ongoing military escalation and rising tensions in the region.
They expressed deep concern over the recent developments, emphasizing that further deterioration of the situation poses a serious threat to regional security and stability.
The importance of de-escalation and intensifying diplomatic efforts to resume the negotiation process was underlined.
The sides also stressed the necessity of protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure.
The ministers further discussed other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
