On February 2, the first Canadian-Azerbaijani Youth Forum titled “NextGen Canadians” was held in Toronto, Canada, on the occasion of the Day of Azerbaijani Youth.

The forum was supported by Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Diaspora and organized by the “Vatan” Azerbaijani Art and Culture Center.

Vagif Seyidbeyov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, emphasized that the platform plays a crucial role for Azerbaijani youth in terms of networking, developing leadership skills, and preserving national identity.

Other speakers included Lalin Hasanova, Head of the Azerbaijan House; Stan Cho, Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming; and trainer Parvin Abdullayeva.

The event continued with panel discussions. The forum featured sessions such as “Big ideas, real stories: Insights from successful entrepreneurs” and “Learning, earning and growing between classes and careers.”
