Azerbaijan–Ireland interparliamentary relations are evolving

On February 4, members of the Milli Majlis working group on interparliamentary relations with Ireland held an online meeting with members of the friendship group with Azerbaijan of the Irish Parliament (Oireachtas).

Erkin Gadirli, head of the Milli Majlis working group on interparliamentary relations with Ireland, highlighted the role of such working groups in fostering cooperation between legislative bodies. He expressed confidence that the working group established within Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis would contribute to the development of bilateral ties. He also underscored the importance of reciprocal visits and regular meetings in further strengthening relations.

Emphasizing the evolving nature of bilateral relations, Tony McCormack, Convenor of the Friends of Azerbaijan Group Houses of the Oireachtas, noted the importance of reciprocal meetings and interparliamentary cooperation in advancing these ties.

Other speakers shared their views on the prospects for interparliamentary relations and cooperation in various fields.

The online meeting also focused on issues of mutual interest.

Politics
