“I think we'll see continued confidence building between the United States and Azerbaijan, and with Armenia, as the corridor and other relations between the countries unfold,” Eric Rudenshiold, Research Director and Senior Fellow of the Caspian Policy Center, told AZERTAC.
According to him, there are going to be a lot of benefits from the TRIPP project, a framework agreement, that puts in place a number of next steps.
“I think we have seen, already in the last few months, increased cooperation in terms of customs, energy and food between the countries of the region, which shows that there is an increased willingness in the capitals to engage with each other. I think the TRIPP project shows that there is continued commitment and engagement by Washington to actually work on this long-standing problem and to help find resolution. I'm very optimistic about the coming year. I think we'll see some creative solutions,” he added.
